About the Groomer

Brandon’s grooming experience goes far beyond that of an average groomer. Brandon grew up in a farm town in Pennsylvania and he has raised and groomed over 20 of his own dogs during his youth. Brandon has always strived on the stress free environment of his pets. And when he started professionally over two years ago, he carried that psychology with him.

That is why the Dogfather Mobile Salon is just what your dog needs. You always receive Brandon’s complete attention with the one-on-one treatment. Grooming should not be a business decision but a passion for healthy pets.

Brandon is proud to be a 2008 Columbus Pet Expo
dog grooming seminar speaker. Check back for upcoming events!

Q&A With the Dogfather

Q: Where did you learn to groom?
A: I started officially grooming at the age of 12 with my dogs. I come from a family of small business owners of which all revolve around the pet industry. From obedience training to grooming, I have experienced and LOVE it all. I am currently working towards receiving Master Groomer accredidation.

Q: How many years of grooming experience do you have?
A: 15+ years. I know someday I will answer the same question with 50+ years. I LOVE my job!

Q: When was your business established?
A: The Dogfather Mobile Salon was established in 2007.

Q: Are you veterinarian recommended?
A: Yes, I am veterinarian recommended and proud to be recognized as a provider of excellent services for pets.

Q: Can you give a description of your grooming operations?
A: My state-of-the-art mobile salon is fully equipped and fully functional. The salon has fresh, not re-circulated, water on board as well as dirty water tanks. I have a grooming tub, hydraulic lift table and best of the industry grooming supplies. I pride myself on a clean and safe environment inside the Salon. I will never need to hook up to your water or electricity source.

Q: Do you keep permanent written client and pet service histories?
A: Absolutely! Not only do I maintain record of written data, I also utilize a grooming software program to store the data as well.

Q: Do you offer convenient days and hours of operation?
A: Yes, I want to ensure the client is as happy as the pet!

Q: If you don't have a scheduled appointment, how long is the average wait for one?
A: Depending on season it can take anywhere from 1-5 weeks to schedule an appointment. We do however, have a cancelation list where we will call you if there happens to be a last minute schedule change. For new clients I always do my best to make sure I can get you in when you want.

Q: Do you offer special appointment programs and appointment reminders?
A: Yes, I like to make it as easy for the client as possible. Many of my clients have became my friends so I have worked closely with them to establish a great appointment program. I call the evening before to remind clients of next-day appointments.

Q: What is your pricing system?
A: Pricing is based on size, breed and type of cut requested. I do not base pricing on weight alone as each pets grooming needs are unique and special to their breed.

Q: Do you offer special care appointments for aged or disabled pets (if needed)?
A: I revolved the build of my mobile salon around the needs of large, aged and disabled pets. I did this due to my experience with large and disabled pets I have owned in the past. Your pet will never need to jump or stand on their own feet. The hydraulic lift will lift the pet up to the window so he or she can look outside or see their home while they are being groomed. The table then extends to the bathing area so they can simply walk over to the tub. If your pet has problems standing, I have special support-arm equipment that will help your pet stand when needed.

Q: Do you offer appointments for working pet owners?
A: I am fully insured and bonded and know how hard it can be for working pet owners to get their pets groomed. I have a small base of clients I have seen only once. They provide me with security codes and I pick up their pet and groom them. After I am done I return the pet to their home and I'm on my way to my next appointment. I do ask that for the first groom, that I meet face to face with the client so that I may introduce myself and learn as much as possible about the pet.

Q: How do you handle pet emergencies?
A: I am certified in CPR for animals. If an emergency does occur and depending on the severity of the emergency, I will notify the owner immediately. If the owner is not available, or if the need is present, I will contact the veternarian I have on file.
